Yer Man - "Main Event" (Original Mix) [2005]

This is a Trance Record of Note

Close to being in the house bracket, this electro-tinged, bass heavy track would suit a charging trance night. I liken it to the JCA remix of Coburn's We Interrupt This Program, a featured track on this blog not too long ago. It's got a great surge of energy to it and the underlying samples of crowds backing up the well judged line "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the main event of the evening" add atmosphere and a sense of grandeur to the mix. No remixes to speak of that I could locate; the original is more than essential. It's out on Mena Music and is a must have.

If you're interested in more from Yer Man, I recommend without hesitation that you check out his earlier track Weird Therapy which is a funky-as house track form a couple of years ago that featured on the first Hed Kandi Twisted Disco album. That track funks up a sample from a film that I know I've seen, but can't remember! Please comment if you know it! It might be from The Rules of Attraction... oh well, anyway, get that and the new one. You won't be disappointed.

You can get a copy from DJ Download for £1.49.

Check out the Demixer remix of 'Satisfy Me' too, another great Yer man track!
