Late Night Alumni - "Empty Streets" (Seamus Haji & Paul Emmanuel Remix) [2005]

This is a House Record of Note

Well, Teeg never misses a good tune, and his producers of the year are the boys behind the remix on this Hed Kandi tune. The reason I like this is all down to the vocal. I'm a big fan of my emotional trance, and this record has a vocal reminiscent of the best of that genre. A flowing melodic and haunting voice - the lyrics are great. But this is a house tune and it's only the mastery of these producers that saves it from failing to work in the house genre. It could have all gone wrong. I think that this tune could work in the trance arena as well, which is why I am recommending it.

You can get a copy from Juno on vinyl, or look for it on some Hed Kandi CDs, although this version is normally mixed in.

Listen to a sample here.

Hey - I couldn't find the lyrics, but they have an album out. Maybe the album insert has the lyrics? HMV has it on CD here. If you just want the music you can download it here.
Thanks for stopping by - keep checking back for more tunes of note!

Hello!
I'm a girl, Gabi from Hungary, and I found the lyrics of this beautiful song, I loaded it.
Here it is:
Late Night Alumni - Empty Streets

the city feels clean this time of night
just empty streets and me walking home to clear my head
i know it came as no surprise
i'm affected more than i had guessed on what was said

if the smile's not meant to be, if the heart's not ready to open
if we make it i won't see it's broken
if the smile's not meant to be, if the heart's not ready to open
if we make it i won't see how it's broken

it's the quiet time before the dawn
and i'm half past making sense of it, was i wrong?
should i claim to give it all **
in a world where not much ever seems to last long

if the smile's not meant to be, if the heart's not ready to open
if we make it i won't see it's broken
if the smile's not meant to be, if the heart's not ready to open
if we make it i won't see how it's broken

how it's broken (3x)

(repeats)
if the smile's not meant to be, if the heart's not ready to open
if we make it i won't see it's broken
if the smile's not meant to be, if the heart's not ready to open
if we make it i won't see how it's broken

how it's broken (repeats)
