Skye - "Love Show" (Tom Novy Club Dub)

This is a House Record of Note

Sometimes it's just good to have a little bit of atmosphere, and this new track from the voice of Morcheeba does not disappoint. Being charged with producing the new album of such a beautifully gifted vocalist, Tom Novy shows the production skills that took his own single to the mainstream and high chart positions around Europe last year was not a fluke.

There are two mixes out on limited release, with a full release planned for sometime mid February. The mixes are suitably contrasting, the Club Mix following the bassline driven style of Tom's recent work, and is a great floor piece. But I'm going to shun that in favour of the Club Dub. It's darker and the vocal sits more suited to the moodier surroundings. Skye's voice is a caress and the whole track moves forward on ripples of dark warmth from the bassline; punchy percussion sparkling on the surface. With gentle warning the track drops out to a guitar and you're hooked. The Club Mix has the guitar, but I think it works better in the Dub.

However, it's a great track no matter which mix you choose, look out for it soon.

Only on promo at the moment, so I'm afraid there's no purchase information or samples I can point out.
